Sometimes people told me that I couldn’t dance or I didn’t know how to dance, but... I didn’t give a sh*t. I keep dancing under the sun, I keep dancing under the rain... I keep feeling the wind blowing through my hair... Today is my birthday... another lap around the sun... on this long journey (already 46 ;) I want to give you just 10 of my thoughts that reflect something I learned on my way: 1. I have learned that kindness is a very sexy skill and that being kind to others is one of the best things we can do in these days of so much suffering. 2. I learned that life is today and that tomorrow is just a nice idea and that we should not forget to live in the present and appreciate everything we have right now. 3. I have learned to fall down many times and to get up too. 4. I learnt that sometimes it is necessary to go back a little bit in order to gain more momentum and go even further. 5. I learned that no one gives you anything for free and that (as my mother says) success comes when opportunity and hard work go hand in hand. 6. I have learned to keep going when the road seems dark and there is almost no light at the end of the tunnel. 7. I have learned to work on my fears, my insecurities, ... we all have them although most of us insist on showing only the beautiful side of our lives in this virtual showcase that we have created for ourselves. 8. I have learned to appreciate how lucky I am to have been born in the right place, with so much love around me, and I am truly grateful for it. 9. I have learned that health, love and family (whether biological or self-chosen) are the most important things and although money only comes and goes, it is also good to have a good relationship with the latter. 10. Last but not least... I learned that trying new things is the only way to know... to get out of your comfort zone, to find out if it might be something interesting for you. The fall of your leap into the void cannot be worse than the regret and the thought of what could have been if you had tried...so go for it!! Thanks to everyone who surrounds me with so much love, supports me and enriches my life every day! I love you all💗 (Been inspired by @olafurarnalds 🎶

In 2020, I suffered the worst year of my life, regarding my physical condition. On a day like today, 5 years ago, I arrived to the hospital without knowing exactly what was going to happen. For a long time, the pain caused by my herniated discs had been too intense, which led me to surgery to try to improve my situation. I used to sleep a maximum of one hour a day, lying on the floor with my legs up on a chair, with 10/10 of pain, considering that I have a very high pain tolerance threshold. After a while using the strongest medication you can take, nothing was working, only surgery could help me, or so I thought. The doctors told me that I would probably never be able to run again or do many of the sports and hobbies that I love. After the operation it was very hard, the recovery was such a nightmare, I spent almost a year not only unable to run or play sports, but almost unable to walk properly. I felt broken, my life went from the sofa to the bed and from the bed to the sofa. Luckily for me, those were pandemic times where there wasn’t much to do or go to, so I didn’t miss so much, but such a long time affected me mentally and I had no guarantee that I would ever be the same I was one day again. I felt mentally sunk. Obviously we get older, our body changes and we lose certain abilities and skills, little by little, but I can say from experience that there is a great mental and psychological part that conditions us to go further, to endure more, to be stronger...definitely our head gives up long before our body is exhausted. Today I feel very grateful for having improved so much, for not having given up and for continuing to fight day by day. Have you had any similar experiences? Thank you for your time 🫶🏽
