Not anymore. I’m getting rid of the beliefs that don’t serve me. I’ve been reading Psycho-Cybernetics and it hit me— your limitations stop where your self-image stops. I didn’t believe in the process. I thought it was either you’re there or you’re not. I kept telling myself I had to get to a certain point before I could enjoy making art again, because it took too much time and energy. I held such high expectations — I couldn’t do anything without knowing it was great and would bring success. That mindset was suffocating. I couldn’t enjoy things as they were. But now I’ve surrendered to the process, to the journey of life. It’s time to live and do what brings me my spark. This is the first time I’ve picked up a paintbrush in over two years. I thought I had to wait until I was 50. I have no expectations for it anymore — I believe you need a few things in life where you don’t measure success, and art is one of them for me. The biggest win is just exercising my creative muscle again — one I’ve neglected for too long. #theprocess #makeartnotwar

I thought I was my brushes, but it turned out I’m not a dirty girl after all. I went to a facial and the esthetician told me it was probably related to gut issues based on where my pimples were and what they looked like.
