[EN] 'Tough choices make good stories' For years I carried this jacket on my back and only now do I fully realise I didn't understand the depth of those words. Tough choices may be the hardest ones to make, but can be the most rewarding at the end of the day. In 2019 I made one. One that led me on an unknown path away from my comfort zone and that has proven to be a full-on challenge of self-acceptance and growth. But one that had to be made. The fashion & entertainment industry can be draining up to the point where our health eventually takes a toll both physically and mentally and if we don't look out for ourselves, no one will. So this is a reminder for everyone to take a deep breath and to not feel guilty when you have to make such a choice or take a break. Looking back I can only be proud of what I have accomplished in the last 11 years so far and a big part of that is thanks to your undying support 🤍 I'm one year older today, here's a compilation of the best moments of the last few years to mark an important date and thank you for all the messages I keep receiving. I have been working on some projects that will shed a light on what the life of a model, behind what you see on a magazine, the social media or the TV, is like; the struggles I went through and how my experiences may help someone, and I wish to share that with you soon when the right time comes. [PT] 'Escolhas difíceis geram boas histórias' Sempre gostei de contar e de criar histórias, encontrar significado nos mais ínfimos pormenores e transformá-los em algo inesperado. Durante anos e anos o meu casaco foi o meu companheiro de viagens. Experienciou novas culturas, costumes, tudo de bom e de mau que aconteceu pelo caminho, e só agora paro para me aperceber da profundidade da mensagem que ele contém. As escolhas mais difíceis demoram a ser tomadas e geralmente são arrastadas até à última, mas são também as mais gratificantes. 2019 foi o ano em que tive que tomar uma decisão, avaliar as minhas prioridades e pôr a minha saúde física e mental em primeiro lugar. De fácil não teve nada e levou-me por caminhos incertos e desconhecidos, mas que me fez crescer e sintonizar o pensamento quanto ao tipo de mensagem que quero passar. Se não olharmos por nós, ninguém o fará, por isso espero que não se culpem por sentirem que às vezes precisam de uma pausa para respirar fundo e repensar as vossas escolhas. Olhando para a minha carreira de mais de 11 anos, só vos tenho a agradecer o apoio constante que me têm dado e o papel que isso teve em alcançar os meus objectivos 🤍 Para marcar esta data e mais um ano de aventuras pela frente, fica aqui uma compilação de alguns dos melhores momentos. Farei os possíveis para ler todas as mensagens e mais uma vez obrigada a quem tirou tempo do seu dia para me desejar os parabéns.
